History The Golden Retriever (one of the parent breed of the mini goldendoodle) was originally bred in Scotland in the mid-19th century, some say they originated from russia. back then retrievers were used in field trials, hunting and as guide dogs for the blind. The Miniature Poodle (one of the parent breed of the mini golden doodle) origin is also disputed just like the golden retriever, some say they originated from France others say Germany about one thing is sure, the miniature poodle is a very intelligent dog breed, But generally, they are very sensitive, lively and playful. With these traits, the future generation of mini goldendoodles will have similar characteristics. What is an F1 Mini Goldendoodle? The First Generation (F1) Goldendoodle is a cross between a purebred miniature Poodle with an english Golden Retriever. The F1generation goldendoodle Puppies are 50% English Golden Retriever & 50% Poodle. F1 Goldendoodles are prefered by some owners because of their temperament and compatible with family members. This breed sometimes don’t have the perfect doodle coat that is desired by owners. This combination results to an equal percentage of Golden and Poodle mix as you would with an F1 Goldendoodle.  There is not much shedding with the F2 generation mini goldendoodle.
